Every project I take on starts with a decision, not a drawing.
Before anything gets designed there’s a set of questions worth answering. What does this site actually allow? Is the brief viable against the budget? Which approval pathway applies? Who needs to agree before this can move?
I answer those first. That’s the Decide phase, and it’s where the most valuable work happens. Design and Deliver follow, using the information and decisions that have already been tested.

There are four ways to engage me at the front end of your project depending on what you or your project need and how far along the investigation process you are.
The Clarity Call, free
A short conversation to work out whether I’m the right architect for what you’re planning, and what the right next step is. I won’t design or solve your project on the call. It’s there to help you understand the process and guide you.
The Site Visit, $497 + GST
An in-person working meeting at your property. I read the site, the context and the constraints, and tell you which ones are real and which ones aren’t. The fee is credited off your fees if you go on to work with me.
The Feasibility Brief, $1,500 + GST
Research only, no session. I research the zoning, the planning controls, the constraints and the approval pathway, then give you a written brief on what your site can do. It’s yours to keep whether you engage me or not.
The Decision Session, $4,000 + GST
Pre-design research, up to four hours with me, and The Decision Brief delivered afterwards. The information you need before design starts.
Design and Deliver
Once the decision is made, we design it and we deliver it. Concept design through design development, then documentation, approvals, tender, and contract administration to the end of the defects period.
Because the front-end thinking is already done, Design moves faster and more accurately. The brief is real, the budget is known, and the approvals path is clear.
Sectors
Homes, alterations and additions, duplexes and new builds across Sydney. Most residential clients come to me with a property and a rough idea. My job is to tell you what it can realistically do, what it costs to find that out, and in what order the decisions need to be made.
Office, hospitality and government fit-outs. The expensive decisions here get made before the lease is signed. I test the space against the brief, the budget and the approval pathway so you know what you’re committing to while you can still walk away.
Outlets, kiosks, cafes and multi-site rollouts. Retail runs to a program and a landlord’s timetable. We document to a standard that holds across sites, and we manage the process to ensure your dates are met.
Schools and Education
Independent schools in NSW. Master plans, capital works and staged building programs.
A school build runs to term dates, board approvals and funding deadlines, so the sequencing matters as much as the design. I test the program against how the school actually operates and against the funding path available, before anything’s committed. We then stage the work so the schools can keep operating.
